We have been enthusiasts of authentic old property for decades and having immersed ourselves in renovation projects from medieval halls to property extensions with an abundance of character; we decided it was time to take our reclamation contacts and expertise, and deliver a premium business that aims to breathe new life into ancient materials, and share with our Clients some of the joy we have had over the years.
We felt it was wholly appropriate to base our business in one of Derbyshire’s original 18th Century Cotton Mills created by Sir Richard Arkwright, on the edge of the Peak District National Park.

The owner is Peter who comes with a broad business experience at a senior level culminating in a retail Board appointment for Mercedes-Benz in the UK. Peters proudest business achievement was turning an idea into reality when he created the famous luxury brand experience destination Mercedes-Benz World, at Brooklands in Surrey; where he also joined the Board of the Brooklands Museum.
Nowadays Peter has become more creative and enthusiastic about restoration and particularly enjoys working with historic oak materials.
Lots of creative ideas flow from Michala. An artist and classically trained Sculptor, she enthusiastically conjures up ideas to make any interior or exterior space look and feel very unique and special. Then she rolls up those overalls and sets about installing our Clients chosen ideas, along with the rest of the Team.
Keeping everyone’s feet on the ground is our all-round solution finder, Bren. With a fine engineering mind and lots of experience of installing innovative building solutions, Bren helps the Team exceed the challenging quality thresholds we set ourselves.
